This movement creates a vacuum on the left diaphragm’s liquid side, which lifts the lower ball check valve and allows liquid to flow into the liquid chamber via the suction manifold.
At the same moment, any fluid in the right chamber is drained.
The air distribution system is there to recognize when the diaphragm in the right chamber has finished its discharge stroke and adjusts the common shaft. This causes the diaphragm to shift to the left, pressurizing the liquid and lifting the top ball check valve. This makes fluid to flow through the discharge manifold and out of the pump.
